Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Officially Awards International CODEN to 43 Journals from QUEST PRESS / MSFMP

Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Officially Awards International CODEN to 43 Journals from QUEST PRESS / MSFMP

Recently, a total of 43 academic journals under QUEST PRESS / MSFMP have been officially assigned the International Standard Serial Title Abbreviation Code (CODEN) by the International CODEN Service, a division of Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS). The CODEN is an internationally recognized, globally unique standard abbreviation identifier for serial publications. The successful assignment of these codes marks a significant step forward in the publisher's development of a standardized identification system within the international scholarly publishing framework.

The CODEN consists of six characters, structurally incorporating a standardized title-based abbreviation, a duplication check character, and a verification character. This code is widely adopted and utilized by major global indexing systems and literature databases such as Science Citation Index (SCI), Scopus, CA Web, INSPEC, and Ulrich’s Web. Obtaining the CODEN will significantly enhance the recognition, citation standardization, and dissemination efficiency of the journal series within the international academic community, laying a solid foundation for their future applications to join more authoritative international databases.

All 43 journals under QUEST PRESS / MSFMP are Chinese-English academic journals that implement rigorous peer review and adhere to an Open Access publishing model, having also completed the parallel process of journal import filing. The publisher consistently aims to promote academic exchange, emphasizing publication quality and norms. The successful acquisition of CODEN not only elevates the international profile of its journal brands but also provides crucial technical support for further expanding international academic influence and facilitating knowledge dissemination. The assignment of CODEN codes fully demonstrates QUEST PRESS / MSFMP's professional standards in adhering to international publishing norms and possessing high international compatibility, thereby effectively enhancing its recognition and literature retrievability within the global research community.

Appendix: CODEN Code Introduction
CODEN is a unique six-character code used globally to identify serial and non-serial publications. It is assigned not only to chemistry-related literature but also to publications across all disciplinary fields.
